The BYD DOLPHIN G DM-i is a plug-in hybrid that runs purely on electric power in everyday use and makes no compromises on long-distance trips. Developed specifically for Europe – and thus also for Switzerland – it is the only compact plug-in hybrid in its class that combines outstanding efficiency and advanced technology with the comfort and practicality of a hatchback. With 425 liters of trunk space, it also offers a surprising amount of room.
Thanks to Super DM technology and the proven Blade battery, you can drive up to 105 km purely on electric power – quietly, comfortably, and with low operating costs. When you need to go further, the highly efficient gasoline engine kicks in, providing a total range of up to 1,040 km – without any charging stops.

The new BYD Dolphin G DM-i features BYD Super DM Technology
The BYD Super DM technology differs fundamentally from conventional plug-in hybrid systems and its core is a hybrid drive concept based on electricity: a powerful electric motor and a high-performance battery serve as the primary energy source, while the combustion engine is only used to charge the battery or to provide support in certain driving situations. The system is consistently designed for efficiency and adapts flexibly to different driving conditions.
